A support consultant/day-to-day administrator has specific knowledge in a wide range of disability support services to assist you and your family. rained and certified by the Maryland Developmental Disability Administration and must demonstrate core competency related to self-determination, customer directed services, service systems and programs for people with disabilities and human resource management strategies. 

Participants who choose to self-direct their services have the option to hire a Support Consultant/day-to-day administrator with cost savings in the Individual Family Directed Goods and Services IFDGS approved Person-Centered Plan budget.  

The consultant is hired to act, first and foremost, as a human resource agent of the person, an advocate for the person, and perform administrative duties, as assigned.
